Rishab Shetty’s Kantara: Chapter 1 made a thumping entry at the box-office. As per reports, the net collection of the film on Day 1 was approximately Rs 60 crore.
Rishab Shetty’s Kantara: Chapter 1 has begun roaring at the box office. Its Hindi collections have surpassed films of superstars such as Aamir Khan, Ajay Devgn, and Akshay Kumar. The Kannada film entered the top 10 highest grossers of 2025 on Day 1.
As per early trends, Kantara: Chapter 1 has managed to earn in the range of Rs 19-21 crore on the opening day at the box office, with its Hindi version. The film registered an occupancy of around 28.78% with its Hindi version on day 1, excluding the night shows.
Kantara (2022) had opened at the box office with 1.27 crore. The prequel has opened 1400% higher or more than its predecessor. It would be interesting to see how many days it would take to surpass Kantara’s entire lifetime collection of Rs 81.1 crore.

War 2: The Hrithik Roshan and NTR Jr. starrer earned a total of Rs 52.5 crore on its opening day, making it the numero uno.
Chhaava: Vicky Kaushal’s magnum opus earned Rs 33.10 crore on Day 1 of its release.
Sikandar: The Salman Khan film grossed around Rs 30.06 crore on its opening day.
Housefull 5: The ensemble cast film, starring Akshay Kumar, earned around Rs 24.35 crore on Day 1.
Saiyaara: Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda’s romantic film earned Rs 22 crore on its opening day.
Kantara: Chapter 1 (Hindi): The Rishab Shetty film is estimated to have earned around Rs 19- 21 crore on Day 1.
Raid 2: Ajay Devgn’s film earned around Rs 19.71 crore on its opening day.
Sky Force: The Akshay Kumar film earned approximately Rs 15.30 crore on Day 1.
Jolly LLB 3: The newly-released sequel, starring Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi, earned around Rs 12.5 crore on its opening day.
Sitare Zameen Par: A sports comedy drama directed by RS Prasanna, this Aamir Khan and Genelia Deshmukh starrer is an official remake of the 2018 Spanish film Champions.
