“Why is the Taj Mahal in India?” asked a travel vlogger to his partner, which has now left the Internet in splits. Every year, thousands of people from around the world flock to Agra, Uttar Pradesh, to admire the Taj Mahal, one of the Seven Wonders of the World and a symbol of eternal love. Commissioned by the fifth Mughal emperor, Shah Jahan, in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal, the beautiful white marble mausoleum houses her tomb and later became his own resting place.
This time, the Taj Mahal became the backdrop for a hilarious exchange between the foreign couple. In a video, the duo was seen walking in front of a replica of the iconic Indian monument when the man asked his partner, quite seriously, why the Taj Mahal is in India. The woman’s response was so unexpected that it instantly became comedy gold. She innocently said, “Is it because it was too heavy to move to Britain?”
The Vlogger Was Too Stunned To Speak After The Woman’s Reply
Her answer left both the man and social media users stunned and amused. The vlogger, who was caught off guard, decided not to argue or explain further. Instead, he simply nodded along and said, “Yeah, you are right.” The couple was actually in Kolkata’s Eco Park, a popular tourist spot in the city which features replicas of all seven wonders of the world, including the Great Pyramids of Giza, the Colosseum of Rome, and, of course, the Taj Mahal of India. The vlogger shared the video on Instagram, writing in the caption, “Makes sense tbh.” In the comments, he continued the joke by writing, “We’re gonna need a bigger boat,” implying that he was British.
