Spider-Man: Brand New Day filming has been paused after Tom Holland suffered an injury on set.
The 29-year-old actor has been shooting his fourth movie as Peter Parker and his web-slinging alter ego, but on Friday things took a scary turn as he was rushed to hospital.
According to various reports, Tom has suffered a mild concussion after a stunt went wrong, seeing him cracking his head on the floor.
He’s expected to take a break from filming for several days, with executives at Sony – the studio behind the movie – due to hold meetings on Monday to figure out a plan for the shoot.
The news was originally reported by The Sun, who said Tom banged his head after fall, with industry insiders confirming the news to the likes of Deadline and The Hollywood Reporter.
An East of England Ambulance Service spokesman told the newspaper: ‘We were called at 10.30am on Friday to attend to a patient who had sustained an injury at Leavesden Studios in Watford.

‘An ambulance was sent to the scene, and the patient was transported to hospital for further care.’
No one else has been hurt in the incident, while Tom was seen at a charity dinner in Mayfair the next day.
He was spotted posing for photos with his fiancee and Spider-Man co-star Zendaya, 28, before they left early, while his comedian dad Dominic was also in attendance.

According to the outlet, he confirmed his son will taking a break from filming ‘for a while’.
Production started on Brand New Day in Glasgow last month, with a release date set for July 31 2026.
‘It’s day one, my fourth ever day one on Spider-Man. It’s funny, putting the suit on, it feels different this time, somehow,’ Tom said in a video from Sony at the time.

‘It’s also the first time we ever had fans on set day one, so it’s really exciting to share this with them. We’ve got some familiar faces on set. I’m just going to do my best, hopefully get it right, no pressure.’
And in a chat with YouTube series Flip Your Wig, he promised a focus on ‘old-school filmmaking’ after the pandemic pushed production onto soundstages rather than shooting on location.
He said: ‘It’s been such a long time since I’ve done it, it’s gonna feel like a breath of fresh air, and I think the fans are going to be over the moon with what we’re putting together.’
