Tom Holland and fiancée Zendaya have reportedly been forced to spend £1,000 a day on security after fans began turning up at their £3million west London home.

The Spider-Man stars, both 29, who confirmed their engagement earlier this year, are said to want to live a “normal life” but have been inundated with autograph hunters and selfie requests.

A source said: “Fans kept rocking up to their place and it started to get a bit much. They love interacting with their fans but, when they’re not working, they’re just a young couple trying to have a normal life. Fans had started arriving at their gates and asking for selfies and autographs. They have got security now to deter any randoms visitors.”

Tom is spending more time at home after a recent on-set accident left him with a suspected concussion and shut down production of his latest Marvel blockbuster.

A neighbour told The Sun: “As soon as Tom and Zendaya started filming the new Spider-Man fans just kept turning up. Now they’ve got this burly security bloke outside. He’s friendly enough but looking at him, he’s not the kind of man you’d want to miff off.”

Paramedics rushed to Leavesden Studios in Watford last Friday after the actor suffered a head injury during filming. He was treated in hospital before being discharged.

A source downplayed the incident, saying: “The accident wasn’t as bad as people think. A line snapped on a pull ring and he got a bump on his bonce. Filming was supposed to start again in London on Thursday, but for now the production team have been told to stand down for two weeks. Tom has been taking it easy as he had a suspected concussion and no one wants him to rush back to set.”

A spokesperson for the East of England Ambulance Service confirmed: “We were called at 10.30am on Friday to attend to a patient who had sustained an injury at Leavesden Studios in Watford. An ambulance was sent to the scene, and the patient was transported to hospital for further care.”

The film, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, has a reported budget of $200million (£150m) and is still scheduled for release in July 2026. But production delays are estimated to be costing bosses an eye-watering £1.5million a day.

Industry sources say that even when cameras stop rolling, costs for cast, crew, studio space and equipment continue to mount.

An insider said: “It’s a headache for any production to have to pause filming, but with a movie of this scale it will be a huge migraine for the producers and studio. Crew still need to be paid throughout the delay and there is also secondary location costs to consider. While health and safety comes first, everyone on the shoot will be hoping to get the cameras rolling again sooner rather than later.”

Film director Emeka Egbuonu added: “On a production the size of Spider-Man, which carries a $200million budget, the daily running costs are immense. Each day of filming can cost between $1.5 and $2million [£1.1m–£1.5m]. Even when filming halts, many of those costs don’t disappear — the crew still need to be paid, sets need to be maintained, and equipment continues to be on hire. It’s a significant financial hit for the studio and puts added pressure on schedules and delivery timelines.”
