Tom Daley reveals all about the 'crazy' Celebrity Traitors WhatsApp group

Olympic diver Tom Daley has lifted the lid on what really goes on inside The Celebrity Traitors cast's lively WhatsApp group.During his Wednesday morning appearance on This Morning with hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary , the 31-year-old revealed that the chat is far from quiet, especially thanks to one of his co-stars. When Alison asked if he was “all over the WhatsApp group yet,” Tom laughed: “No, because I don't necessarily live on this time zone, so I wake up to so many messages.” Dermot chimed in: “Your notifications in the morning! You have to mute the group.” Tom agreed, saying: “It's crazy. And I'm like, oh my gosh, I can't keep up with this. Tameka [Empson] sends the most amazing voice notes as well. They're like two and a half minutes long.” Dermot joked: “Oh wow. That's an investment.” The group chat appears to be the social hub for this year's Celebrity Traitors contestants, and it’s no surprise things are busy, given how dramatic the series has been. The star-studded cast, which includes the likes of Kate Garraway , Jonathan Ross, and Stephen Fry, have kept audiences glued to their screens. Tameka, who was recently banished from the castle by her fellow players, has already made headlines of her own after cheekily calling out Kate Garraway’s “over-the-top” performance on the show. While on This Morning with Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard two weeks ago, Tameka said: “Let me tell you about Kate – bless Kate. I love you Kate but my God, bless her. This ham business! This over-the-top – I actually thought she was going to be a really bad Traitor. I thought she couldn’t get away with killing someone.” The actress continued: “I thought, ‘You can't cope under pressure – let's get her out.’ That's what I thought. She needs the prompter in her life otherwise she's a fabulous-looking ham.” Tameka, 48, was shown the door after being voted out by four of her co-stars during the second roundtable. The EastEnders star later revealed that despite being accused of treachery, she was actually one of the Faithful. “It's out of the bag now. I loved it,” she told The Mirror after her exit. “When you watch it and then when you are in it, it's two completely different things. Oh my God. It is brilliant, but equally it can be stressful.” YouTuber Niko Omilana was the first contestant to be banished earlier in the series, and he posted a tongue-in-cheek TikTok after his elimination calling the remaining Faithful “the worst group of Faithfuls ever”. Niko went on to joke that his fellow contestants were “just vibing it” – which doesn't seem to be far off the mark, given The Faithfuls have yet to find a single Traitor despite only having three roundtables left to nab them in.
