The New York Giants’ rookie duo just got jinxed. Cam Skattebo and Jaxson Dart looked like a spark Brian Daboll desperately needed after the whole Russell Wilson experiment burned out. But Skattebo suffered a dislocated ankle in Philly. So tough to watch that the players turned their heads when the running back lay on the ground with his ankle twisted. On the FOX broadcast, Kevin Burkhardt summed it up midgame. “The Giants have had some good moments here… but they absorbed the tough injury to Cam Skattebo, which was brutal,” he said. ADVERTISEMENT Article continues below this ad But then came Tom Brady, dropping truth and a lifeline in one go. “They have Tyrone Tracy, who did have a thousand yards rushing as a rookie last year,” he pointed out. Tracy’s name wasn’t said by accident. He’s the next man up. Brady added, “Don’t completely abandon the run game. Injuries sting, but there’s no time to sulk. “I know it’s a tough injury, but that’s football; you got to deal with it. You got to go to this tough environment against the defending world champs and try to go out there,” Brady said.
