Tom Brady Revealed That He Cloned His Family Dog OK then. Us pet owners have all asked ourselves some version of the following question: If you could clone your pet, would you? There's one person who's made their answer to this timeless query definitive: former NFL player Tom Brady, who just revealed that he cloned his and ex-wife Gisele Bundchen's late family dog Lua shortly before the pup passed away in 2023. People reports that Tom announced the revelation in a press release alongside Colossal Biosciences, the company that cloned Lua (and which Tom also is an investor of). His statement disclosed that Lua was cloned using blood obtained from her before she died, resulting in his current pet Junie. “I love my animals. They mean the world to me and my family,” Tom said in the statement. “A few years ago, I worked with Colossal and leveraged their non-invasive cloning technology through a simple blood draw of our family's elderly dog before she passed.” Tom also added that the procedure “gave my family a second chance with a clone of our beloved dog,” going on to claim that he's “excited how Colossal and Viagen's tech together can help both families losing their beloved pets while helping to save endangered species.” Which, let's be real — if you were an investor in the company that cloned your dog, you'd probably be saying something similar. But the question remains: Would you clone your pet? Let us know in the comments.
