The green category in today’s NYT Connections puzzle made me laugh, because I went to grade school with a kid named Chuck Wood. Chuck, are you out there? This puzzle literally has your name on it. I also loved seeing Woody Guthrie’s name in there, though of course his first and last name do not end up in the same category. If you need help, whatever your name is, you’re in the right place. Read on for clues and today’s Connections answers.
The Times now has a Connections Bot, like the one for Wordle. Go there after you play to receive a numeric score and to have the program analyze your answers. Players who are registered with the Times Games section can now nerd out by following their progress, including the number of puzzles completed, win rate, number of times they nabbed a perfect score and their win streak.

The green words in today’s Connections
The theme is words in a famous tongue twister.The four answers are chuck, could, would and woodchuck.
The blue words in today’s Connections
The theme is cartoon birds. The four answers are Foghorn, Scrooge, Woodstock and Woody. (This took me a minute until I remembered Scrooge McDuck.)
The purple words in today’s Connections
The theme is ending with number homophones. The four answers are classics (six), create (eight), Guthrie (three) and therefore (four).
