TNPSC Group 4 Results Date 2025: The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) conducted the Group 4 examination on July 12 to fill 3,935 positions in various categories, including Village Administrative Officer, Junior Assistant, and Typist. The scorecards are expected to be released soon. As per media reports, the TNPSC Group 4 results could be out by October. To check the results, candidates need to visit tnpsc.gov.in, click on the Group 4 result link, enter their registration number and date of birth. This year’s Group 4 exam was considered one of the toughest in recent times. Candidates and invigilators noted that over half of the 100 Tamil questions were particularly difficult and strayed from the typical syllabus. The exam saw intense competition this year, with 11.48 lakh out of 13.89 lakh applicants participating, equating to roughly 287 candidates per post. With an overall success rate below 0.35 per cent, only about 3.5 candidates were selected per 1,000. TNPSC Group IV Result 2025: How To Download? Step 1: Go to the official TNPSC website – tnpsc.gov.in. Step 2: Click on the result link on the homepage. Step 3: Enter your login credentials, such as application number and date of birth. Step 4: Your result will appear on the screen. Step 5: Download and print the result for future reference. The written exam lasts for three hours and includes 200 objective-type questions, carrying a total of 300 marks. It is divided into three parts: Part A (Tamil Eligibility-cum-Scoring Test): 100 questions Part B (General Studies): 75 questions Part C (Aptitude and Mental Ability): 25 questions While Part A will be in Tamil only, candidates can choose between English or Tamil for Parts B and C. The TNPSC Group IV Exam is conducted by the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) to recruit candidates for various entry-level administrative posts in the Tamil Nadu state government. Posts under Group IV include Village Administrative Officer (VAO), Junior Assistant (Non-Security and Security), Typist, Steno-Typist (Grade III), Junior Revenue Inspector, Forest Guard and Forest Watcher, and Bill Collector, Grade-I. The Basic Pay of a TNPSC Group 4 employee is Rs 19,500, Dearness Allowance is Rs 4,290 approx (22% of basic pay), House Rent Allowance (HRA) is Rs 1,560 – Rs 3,120, Travel Allowance and Medical Allowance is as per government norms. The gross salary is Rs 25,000 – Rs 30,000 per month.
