TMB reports record quarterly profit; 4.95% rise in net profit

Tamilnad Mercantile bank (TMB) has reported a 4.95% rise in net profit, which has surged from ₹318 crore in the quarter that ended on September 30, 2025 against ₹303 crore during the corresponding quarter last year. The total business grew by 11.40%, highest year on year growth since listing. The deposits in the bank grew by 12.32% on Year on Year (YoY) basis, which has increased to ₹55,421 crore. The bank’s CASA has increased to ₹15,163 crore. The bank’s net worth has increased to ₹9,444 crore with absolute rise of ₹1,014 crore registering a growth rate of 12.03%. The net interest income is at ₹597 crore for the quarter Q2FY26 as against ₹596 crore for Q2FY25 registering a growth rate at 0.17%. Salee S Nair, MD&CEO of TMB said that the bank has achieved the highest ever quarterly net profit in Q2FY26, driven by the continued growth in our core lending and deposit business. “We remain committed to our strategic priorities of expanding our reach and enhancing customer experience. In this quarter, we have opened nine new branches across key markets, further strengthening our distribution network,” he added.
