Tipton man, 33, in court over Tommy Robinson's 'Unite the Kingdom' rally

A man accused of assaulting a police officer after trouble broke out during Tommy Robinson’s London rally has appeared in court. Lewis Siverns appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court today, Wednesday, October 1. He denied assaulting an emergency worker – a police officer – by beating in Westminster on Saturday, September 13. The 33-year-old, of Farmer Way, Tipton, was granted bail by Judge Nina Tempia. He was told he would face trial at City of London Magistrates’ Court on March 31, 2026. Between 110,000 and 150,000 people joined Robinson’s ‘Unite the Kingdom’ rally. About 5,000 also took part in an anti-racism counter-demonstration held at the same time. The Metropolitan Police previously said there were several incidents of violent disorder – the majority linked to the far-right activist’s event. Seven other people are facing charges including assault and public order offences. We have a suite of newsletters, tailored to your needs.
