The 2025 TIME100 Climate issue includes a worldwide cover, featuring artwork by artist Michael Papadakis. For the cover, Papadakis spent 10 days in Boise, Idaho, capturing sunlight with magnifying glasses to create his design. His process involved mapping the sun’s path, calculating angles, sketching outlines, and planning how light would travel across the surface, before burning the image onto a piece of untreated wood.
