Tim Burton and Monica Bellucci split as pair make shock statement

Director Tim Burton and model partner, Monica Bellucci have parted ways after nearly two years together. The unexpected announcement was published in a shared announcement which left fans across the world shocked. In the short statement, the couple spoke of the “respect” and “care” they still hold for each other, regardless of the break up. It read: “It is with much respect and deep care for each other that Monica Bellucci and Tim Burton have decided to part ways.” READ MORE: Bonnie Blue ‘punched in face’ on student nightclub UK tour Tim and Monica began seeing each other in October 2023, with the actress, 60, taking a role in the Beetlejuice Beetlejuice movie. The director is known for a whole range of films, from the iconic Corpse Bride to Dumbo and even Alice in Wonderland. It was only two months ago that the couple were last snapped together at the Giffoni Film Festival 2025. Monica has been captured by her partner’s side multiple times over the years, notably when he was honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Before Tim and Monica were together, the director was famously married to Helena Bonham-Carter, whom he shares two children with. Tim and Helena have two grown-up children together. A son called Billy, 20, and a daughter – Nell – age 16, the Mirror reported. Helena previously talked of her break up with her long term partner, discussing the “grief” she faced. Speaking to Harper’s Bazaar in 2016, Helena said: “You go through massive grief – it is a death of a relationship, so it’s utterly bewildering. Your identity, everything, changes. “Just saying: I’m not myself at the moment, so be careful. Everyone always says you have to be strong and have a stiff upper lip, but it’s okay to be fragile.”
