The Packer offense knew what they needed to do to get the victory against the Lions.
And they did just that.
In the Packers victory against the Lions the offense got off to a fast start and put 7 up right away on the first drive of the season.
Jordan Love for the most part was careful with the ball.
Although he was lucky with 2 passes.
1 pass was an interception that was called back by penalty.
The other was dropped and could’ve been a pick six.
Love finished the day with 16 of 22 for 188 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Josh Jacobs ran tough against the Lions.
Jacobs couldn’t get anything going in the first half.
Jacobs got stronger in the second half and finished the game with 66 yards and 1 touchdown.
Meanwhile Romeo Doubs hauled in 2 catches but was productive with those two catches.
Doubs was the Packers leading receiver with 68 yards.
Daniel Wahlen had a big day punting for the Packers.
Wahlen not only helped the Packers flipped the field, he helped the Packers with their final touchdown drive.
Whalen pinned the Lions down deep in their own territory late in the 4th quarter .
From there the Packers defense took over and sent the Lions offense back, leading to a 3 and out and a punt inside their own endzone.
Whalen had 3 punt for 164 yards with a 54.7 yard average and 2 downed punts in the 20.
His longest punt was 65 yards.
