Arsenal are set to appoint Napoli's head of scouting Maurizio Micheli, and we could see him raid his former club to bring some new additions to the Emirates Stadium. The Gunners will be hoping to use Micheli's expertise in the future, with the Napoli chief one of the most highly rated scouts in the game at the moment. Micheli has been credited with playing a crucial role in bringing in the likes of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Kim Min-jae, and Kalidou Koulibaly during his time at Napoli, and Arsenal are clearly looking for him to replicate that kind of business in north London. Micheli could use his contacts to raid his former club Napoli, and we've taken a look at some potential options that he might consider bringing to Arsenal in the near future. Napoli Stars Micheli Could Sign for Arsenal One option for Arsenal as a backup striker could be Lorenzo Lucca. The Italian forward moved to Napoli during the summer transfer window, but he hasn't become a regular starter just yet. The Italian forward scored 12 Serie A goals for Udinese last season and is a highly rated striker in Italy, and he could be the ideal backup to Viktor Gyokeres. Arteta currently has Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus as options in the striker position, but both players are currently sidelined, while the latter has been linked with a departure in the winter window. Another option for Arsenal could be young star Luca Marianucci. The youngster broke into the Empoli first team at just 20 years old as a centre-back, and he made the move to Napoli in the summer. Micheli signed Marianucci from Empoli, and with Arteta often looking to strengthen his defensive department, it could be a smart, long-term option for the Gunners. A wildcard signing could be former Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay, who won Serie A's MVP last season. The Scottish international has flourished during his time in Italy, scoring 17 goals in just 50 games from midfield since joining the club. Although perhaps the most unlikely of the aforementioned trio, considering his age, McTominay would offer Arsenal more energy in midfield, and he would count as a homegrown player due to playing for United for three years before the age of 21. There isn't a host of exciting options to choose from if Micheli wants to raid his former club, but it will be interesting to see if he has something up his sleeve for when he officially joins the Gunners.
