Three people are facing charges after a break and enter at a restaurant in the area of Arlington Park Place and Midpark Drive early this morning. In a media release, Kingston Police detailed that security surveillance cameras at the restaurant showed two individuals had broken into the business at approximately 12:55 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2025. Police were contacted by the security surveillance company, Kingston Police detailed, and members of the Kingston Police Patrol Division responded to the area. On their arrival, the officers reportedly located two individuals fleeing the area. “The individuals were pursued on foot until they entered an awaiting vehicle parked nearby,” police stated. “The vehicle then left the area at a high rate of speed, nearly striking the officers who had been pursuing the individuals on foot moments before. The vehicle was last seen travelling westbound on Taylor Kidd Boulevard.” According to the release, other officers attended the area in an effort to locate the vehicle while communications staff notified the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in the event the vehicle entered their jurisdiction. “A short time later, members of the OPP encountered the vehicle, which subsequently fled from them. The vehicle was then located, abandoned, in the area of County Road 4 and Millhaven Road,” Kingston Police reported. “Members of the OPP established containment of the area, and with the assistance of an OPP K9, located the three individuals involved in the break and enter.” Two individuals, a 27-year-old and a 28-year-old from Kingston, were arrested and charged with: Break and enter Possession of proceeds of crime Breach of probation A third individual, a 48-year-old from Stouffville was arrested and charged with: Break and enter Possession of proceeds of crime Breach of probation Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle Failure to stop for police Police did not state whether the individuals were held in custody or released, nor the identities of the accused parties.
