The Dodgers sealed back-to-back championships in Toronto on Saturday night following a dramatic Game 7 victory over the Blue Jays, who were denied their first World Series triumph for 32 years in astonishing fashion. Miguel Rojas' game-saving home run at the top of the ninth inning, another remarkable pitching display by World Series MVP Yoshinobu Yamamoto and a stunning Will Smith home run in the bottom of the 11th ensured LA retained their crown on a night for the ages in Canada. Dave Roberts' players partied the night away in the locker room after winning a second straight title, with the likes of Shohei Ohtani, Clayton Kershaw and Kike Hernandez whacking on their ski goggles and spraying themselves in champagne. Now the Dodgers are set to celebrate their latest championship back home in LA, where thousands of joyous fans are lining the streets for Monday's victory parade. The parade is set to take place in downtown Los Angeles, with players expected to travel along the route in double-decker buses. Players will leave Dodger Stadium at 10:45am and make their way to downtown LA, starting at North Broadway and West Temple Street before going west on Temple and then turning onto Grand and head south. At 7th street they will then head west to South Figueroa Street, before the buses head north to West 5th Street, where the parade ends. Once it's over, Dodgers players are scheduled to go back to Dodger Stadium for a ticketed celebration which begins at 12:15pm. All of the tickets are said to have sold out within an hour. Fans started lining the streets hours before their Dodgers heroes embark on the parade, ensuring they will have the best possible view when the buses make their way through. Many of them did so waving Dodgers flags and holding up their own celebratory banners, with some of them mocking Toronto after their collapse on Saturday night. 'The Jays had wings, the Dodgers got rings!' one of the signs read. With the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth, and the score locked at 4-4, the Blue Jays needed just one run to topple the Dodgers and land their first championship since 1993 in front of their own fans at the Rogers Centre. Toronto also had the chance to wrap up the title in Game 6, only for a huge gaffe at the death by Addison Barger to send the series to a decider. And for the Dodgers, the rest is history. Once their partying is over through the offseason, Roberts and his players will soon turn their attention to becoming only the third team in history to pull off a famous three-peat next season. The New York Yankees (1998-2000) and the Oakland Athletics (1972-74) are the only teams in history to win three consecutive World Series championships.
