WATERVILLE — Thomas College is proud to announce that Jeff Gosselin of Lewiston has been named to its board of trustees. Gosselin is a two-time alumnus of the College and senior vice president and director of commercial banking at Maine Community Bank. “We are ecstatic to have Jeff return to his alma mater to serve in this important capacity. Jeff brings a wealth of expertise and experience to the Board, and his energy and passion for the College are unmatched,” said President Jeannine Diddle Uzzi. “It is particularly gratifying to have the father of two recent graduates join us. Jeff understands the student experience from the parental perspective, and that is important to the College.” Gosselin has spent his 32-year career serving the Maine community as an executive in the commercial banking industry. As a well-established banking professional and community advocate, he possesses strong business development and financial skills with a loyal customer following and the proven ability to generate positive results. Gosselin earned his bachelors degree in finance and economics in 1993 and a masters in business administration in 1999, both from Thomas College. “I am very grateful and proud to have the opportunity to serve on the Thomas College Board of Trustees. As a graduate with both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees earned from Thomas College, I have had the opportunity to learn and develop skills and business acumen that have been the foundation of a 32-year career as an executive in commercial banking. Beyond the outstanding education, I have been so blessed to have built a tremendous group of lifelong friends from my days as a student athlete and part of the men’s soccer program at Thomas,” said Gosselin. “As a result of my experience, I encouraged both of my sons to consider Thomas College and both have recently graduated from there with their own bachelor’s degrees and successfully launched their own business careers. Over the last 32 years, I have met and worked with countless successful business professionals and entrepreneurs that learned real life business skills from Thomas College and are serving Maine communities both as employers and community leaders. Thomas College has a strong reputation of developing hard-working, talented professionals that add value to employers and communities throughout Maine and beyond. I am so very excited for the opportunity to give back to the school that has given so much to me and many others with an opportunity to serve on the board of trustees,” said Gosselin.
