A man says he was waiting in line to see Jimmy Kimmel Live! when ABC announced it would cancel the show indefinitely following the host’s remarks on Charlie Kirk.
How did the audience find out Jimmy Kimmel was canceled?
In a video with over 69,000 views, TikToker Langston (@langkyston) stands outside of El Capitan Entertainment Center in Los Angeles, Calif.
He films a venue worker talking to a line of people outside the building, explaining that the show was canceled. Langston walks away from the venue looking defeated.
In a comment, Langston says the worker told the audience, “Go home bc there’s no show today.”

On-screen text reads “POV: Ur waiting in line for the Jimmy Kimmel Live when he gets canceled off of ABC.”
ABC indefinitely suspended Kimmel’s live show after he made remarks about Charlie Kirk’s assassination on Wednesday.
The host said, “We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it.”
This remark garnered criticism from the Federal Communications Commission, leading to his suspension.
How did other viewers react?
In the comments of Langston’s video, others say the audience member was unknowingly now “part of history.”
“If you have a physical ticket or proof. Save it because it will be worth money one day,” one suggests.
“You’re in the history books now,” another says.
“Remember the book in school called Fire something that all books were burnt and stuff. These times remind me of that book,” a third adds.
Others suggest ways for fans to push back at Disney-owned ABC’s decision.
“Boycott ABC, Hulu, and Disney. Hit them in the pockets. [Expletive] fearing the President, make them fear retaliation from America and unfollow all of their social media,” a commenter says.
“Boycott ABC Disney and Hulu. Canceling your subscription is the quickest way to hurt them financially. which is the only reason they we’ll make a change,” another writes.
