In the glitzy and glamorous world of Bollywood many people come with the dream of making it big on the silver screen. However behind their gleaming life are their struggle and challenges that do not make it to the spotlight. One such similar tale is of a man actor who didnt have any Bollywood background but fought against all odds and today he stands tall as one of the industrys most bankable actors.
The actor we are talking about is none other than Kartik Aryan.
Hailing from Gwalior Madhya Pradesh Kartik was born on 22 November 1990. Kartik’s real name is Kartik Tiwari. Both his parents were doctors and expected his son to follow in their footsteps and get into a similar profession. He was pursuing engineering professionally but his heart was on acting. While he was pursuing his studies he was also giving auditions side by side. For nearly two and a half years he faced countless rejections before finally landing his first big break.
Kartiks Debut and More
Kartik made his debut with Luv Ranjans film Pyaar Ka Punchnama. Other actors in pivotal roles were Nushrratt Bharuccha Sonnalli Seygall Ishita Sharma and Divyendu Sharma. Right from his debut Kartik got love and attention and his now-famous monologue instantly connected with the youth. At the time he dropped his surname “Tiwari” and adopted the screen name Kartik Aaryan. Despite the recognition his fee was only Rs 70000.
Kartiks Breakthrough
After this Kartik got many roles and he delivered several films; however his real breakthrough came with the 2018 hit Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety. This film not only further cemented his place in the industry but also skyrocketed his earnings. For this film Kartik was paid Rs. 1 crore.
From Lakhs to Crores
Later Kartik delivered film after film. He not only connected with the audience but also his box-office pull grew stronger. From Rs 1 crore to now earning Rs 40–50 crore per film.
