This Physics Wallah Ad Featuring Scorpio Triggers Outrage In Kashmir

The Forest Department in Tangmarg has filed a case against members of the Physics Wallah faculty after videos showed them driving vehicles inside a protected forest area in Buderkoot, Kashmir, considered one of the region’s most sensitive green zones. The incident came to light when clips appeared on the YouTube channel JKBosewallah, who is a faculty member. The videos show cars moving through soft forest soil, damaging young plants and fresh vegetation that had just started to regrow after recent storms. Physics Wallah Team Booked For Driving Through Protected Forest As per The Indian Express report, Forest Range Officer Gulmarg, Iftikhar Ahmad Qadri, confirmed that their action violates several environmental protection laws. Officials explained that such off-roading is completely banned because it harms the forest’s natural recovery process. They also said the Buderkoot forest was slowly healing. This careless action has now raised serious concern about the growing human impact on already fragile ecosystems. In his complaint, Qadri stated, “A video was uploaded on YouTube showing six black Scorpio vehicles, without any registration plate, entering illegally into the forest area without any permission from any competent authority of the forest department. After verification from field staff of Baderkote forest block, it came forth that the video has been shot in the forest area (of) Baderkote forest block.” Mimicking Western creators without caring for nature it’s destruction. This reckless trend inspired by @Imadclicks is harming our environment.Authorities must take strict action @JmuKmrPolice @hussain_imtiyaz @JavedRanaa pic.twitter.com/wPRHkGAgFp — Dr Mohammad Momin Khan (@DrMohammadMomin) October 31, 2025 Police Register FIR Under Forest And Criminal Laws The video shared by the Physics Wallah team was reportedly part of a promotional shoot for their student program called Toofan, for Classes 9 to 12. In the complaint, Iftikhar Ahmad Qadri stated that the footage clearly showed “vehicles were driven off-road over the green meadows in the forest area, resulting in damage to various herbs and other flora of the forest, thus violating the Indian Forest Act 1927 and Forest Conservation Act 1980.” Police have filed cases against the group under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, including charges of damaging government property, criminal trespass and causing harm to public assets. They have also added sections from the Indian Forest Act, since the incident took place inside a protected forest zone. This incident has raised more concern because it happened just weeks after another similar case, where several YouTubers were booked for harming the delicate environment of the Breinwar forest in Budgam, central Kashmir.
