This Pa. city is the absolute worst to drive in, report says

A list came out recently about the best — and, by default, the worst — cities to drive in.
Guess which one came in dead last?
If your guess was “Philadelphia,” then you, reader, are 100 percent correct (nice job!). According to WalletHub’s annual study on the matter, Philadelphia was thus crowned the absolute worst city in these United States of America for motorists. Philadelphia actually slumped down from its ranking last year, in which it was the second worst city.
(Pittsburgh, by the way, was also amongst the worst in the 69th overall spot.)
Philadelphia’s ranking — along with the other 99 that were involved in the study — was determined after WalletHub researchers graded each across four key metrics: “Cost of [Car] Ownership & Maintenance;” “Traffic & Infrastructure;” “Safety;” and “Access to Vehicles & Maintenance.” Relevant sub-metrics — “Average Monthly Car Insurance Premium” and “Quality of Roads” among them — were also included.
Based on all of that, laughing in Philadelphia drivers’ faces is Corpus Christi, Texas, the number one best city to drive in in the country.
“Corpus Christi, Texas, is the best city to drive in, due in part to its low costs,” the study explains. “It’s the third-cheapest city for gas and tied for seventh-cheapest for purchasing a new vehicle.
“Car prices have gone up significantly over the past few years, and gas remains expensive going into the summer travel season,” said WalletHub analyst Chip Lupo. “living in one of the best cities to drive in can make owning and maintaining a car much cheaper.
“However, costs aren’t the only factors for that matter; the beast cities for drivers also minimize commute times and traffic congestion, have accident rates well below the national average and keep their roads in condition.”
Speaking of poor road conditions, Pennsylvania, by the way, was noted for being one of the worst states to drive in by a separate WalletHub study.
