During the first week of September, the Zaxby’s located at 5816 W. Broad St. permanently closed.
This closure was first reported by the Henrico Citizen, which noted that the closure “was news to several cars waiting in the drive-through lane…at lunch time, the drivers unaware no one was inside working.”
There are seven Zaxby’s locations in Richmond and the surrounding counties, and the franchise is known for its chicken fingers and wings, and chicken-based sandwiches and salads.
When contacted for a comment on the store closure, a Zaxby’s spokesperson said, “Unfortunately, one of Zaxby’s franchisees made a business decision to close the restaurant at 5816 W. Broad St. It’s always a difficult decision when Zaxby’s or a franchisee decides to close a restaurant. We appreciate the patronage of our loyal guests and hope they will visit other Zaxby’s in the area.”
