This is the weirdest washing machine I’ve ever seen, but it solves a major problem

It can be really frustrating when you’ve got piles of washing with different items needing different cycles. Not only does it take ages putting on one load after another, but it also wastes a lot of water.

Sure, it can be pretty tempting to throw everything into the washing machine in one go, and I’ll be honest, I’m definitely guilty of that. But, you do end up sacrificing the quality, durability, and color of your items in the process.
This new, wacky release from Hoover aims to change all that. And if you can get over how weird it looks (literally like a huge face), it’s actually kind of genius.

Meet the Multi-Wash

The Hoover Multi-Wash is honestly like no washing machine I’ve ever seen before. At first glance, I thought the two circles above the main drum were massive drawers for your detergent, etc. Turns out, they’re capable of so much more.

The two eyeball-looking circles above it are in fact 1kg mini drums. Genius.
Instead of one drum, Hoover has innovated a washing machine that has three. Alongside the main 10kg drum, the two eyeball-looking circles above it are in fact 1kg mini drums. Genius.
That means you can wash multiple loads all at the same time, each on its own cycle, temperature, and duration in what Hoover is calling “a new era in laundry”.
Not only that, but there are intelligent features built in to make sure your washing is getting extra attention from Auto-Dose, a Smart Spray system, and hygiene-focused technologies including UV sterilisation and Clean Shield coating.

You’ll notice that to incorporate all three drums, the Multi-Wash looks kind of tall – and that’s because it is.
Launching first as a standalone option in the U.K., you’ll have to wait a little longer for an under-counter version, following in 2026. And as of yet, there’s no word on a U.S. release, although I wouldn’t be surprised if we start to see this feature in the American market soon.
We’re eager to get our hands on one for testing, so keep an eye out for a review.

Three loads in just 22 minutes

I was feeling pretty smug when I found the mixed load setting on my washing machine meant I could get through a wash in just 59 minutes. And then, I heard that Hoover’s new Multi-Wash will do three loads in just 22 minutes and I feel a bit silly.
As a busy household with two little kids, washing seems endless. But, the Multi-Wash spinning three loads of gym gear, kids clothes, and bedding all at once in just 22 minutes sounds like an actual dream.
And I’m sure it’d be a great addition to smaller households or anyone else short on time when trying to get through their washing week in and week out.
It feels like this could be the future of washing machines, though, until we carry out some full testing and see it in action, we’ll wait and see how efficient and effective three drums can be.
