Currently there are only four cities that have the distinction of hosting both an IIT and an IIM, but do you know which is that only state in India which hosts two IITs? However, there is no state or city in India that houses two IITs, and the state that hosts two different Indian Institute of Technology is Uttar Pradesh. Interestingly, IIT (BHU) Varanasi has formerly been known as the Banaras Engineering College (BENCO), the College of Mining and Metallurgy (MINMET), the College of Technology (TECHNO) and the Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University (IT-BHU).
