Back in 2017, Jha created an Alexa skill that gained several users but to his disappointment, it did not win an Echo device in an Amazon contest. Rather than let the moment pass, he decided to go straight to the top and sent a cold email directly to Amazon founder Jeff Bezos. When I was 19, I cold emailed @JeffBezos, after I was pissed that my Alexa skill didn't win an echo device for getting a lot of users. That single message turned out to be a life-changing one. The email not only reached Amazon’s senior leadership but also prompted a response from within the company. It eventually opened doors for Jha to connect with the team behind Alexa and explore new opportunities.
