This beloved NYC holiday tradition is making its grand return with free skating and 190+ festive shops
STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The Bryant Park Winter Village is starting its 2025-2026 tenure in October.
You know what that means: The most wonderful time of the year is right around the corner.
Starting Oct. 24, 2025, Bryant Park will transform into the Bank of America Winter Village, drawing millions to its wintry wonderland full of treats, delights, and shops.
The village itself is split into three distinct sections: “The Holiday Shops by Urbanspace,” “The Rink,” and “The Lodge.”
The shops are comprised of over 190 merchants, each having their own stall in an open-air market that will run day-to-day from Oct. 24, 2025, to Jan. 4, 2026, according to a written statement.
“The Rink” is called “the glistening centerpiece” of the village, as it is “the only free-admission ice skating experience on one of the largest rinks in the city,” the statement explained. Visitors can rent skates at the skating rink, where they can also purchase lessons, acquire a skate aid, and more.
Finally, “The Lodge” is where sightseers can indulge in food and drink, offering a reprieve from the chilly New York City nights to come.
The Bryant Park Winter Village will be open to the public from Oct. 24, 2025, to March 1, 2026.
More events and activities are set to arrive as the holidays draw closer, the statement said, including bumper cars, Cozy Igloos, and Santa’s Corner.
According to the statement, “Bryant Park is proud to continue its partnership with Bank of America to bring New Yorkers and visitors their favorite destination for seasonal attractions, dining and small business merchants.”
