Bollywood actress Rekha’s name has been linked with many significant personalities throughout her career. One of the most well-known is her reported love story with Amitabh Bachchan. However, this wasn’t Rekha’s only high-profile relationship. She was also romantically linked to another ‘Bachchan’ from the film industry, and reports suggest they were once caught together.
Rekha, who gained fame with films like Muqaddar Ka Sikandar, Khoobsurat, and Umrao Jaan, was associated with several stars during her career. Her name was linked with superstars like Jitendra, Vinod Mehra, Sanjay Dutt, and Akshay Kumar. She also married businessman Mukesh Agarwal, but unfortunately, he died by suicide.
While Rekha was often linked to Amitabh Bachchan, she was also rumored to have been involved with Kiran Kumar, sometimes called the “Bachchan of Gujarati cinema.” Son of veteran actor Jeevan, Kiran Kumar appeared in Gujarati, Bhojpuri, and Hindi films.
Known for his negative roles, he also took up B-grade films for money and fame. His tall stature and commanding presence earned him the nickname.
According to media reports, Rekha fell in love with Kiran Kumar before her relationship with Amitabh Bachchan. However, this relationship did not last long as Kiran Kumar’s father was against it.
Reports claim that a photographer once caught Rekha and Kiran Kumar holding hands, and the photo was published in a newspaper. According to reports, Kiran Kumar later chased that photographer.
In a 1975 interview with Stardust magazine, Kiran and Rekha spoke about each other. Rekha mentioned her dislike for Kiran’s habit of always needing to return home by 10 o’clock and going to bed after drinking a glass of milk.
