Roca Scary Farm will officially open for the season this Friday and Saturday. The night time terror featuring more than 50 live scare actors begins and sundown with last entries until 9:30 p.m. Tickets are $30, or $27 if purchased in advance. Purchasing a nighttime ticket also allows entry into the farm during the day.

Drive on over to the Lincoln Airport for a drive-in screening of “A Minecraft Movie.” Local food trucks will be available along with a car show and free activities for kids. The Lincoln Cultural Center will be performing too. Tickets are free and the airport will be collecting hygiene and essential items to donate to Voices of Hope.

Nebraska native Daniel Lawrence Whitney, better known as Larry the Cable Guy, is bringing an evening of comedy to the Pinewood Bowl with his tour, Larry’s Nebraska Roadtrip. The show will go on rain or shine. Doors open at 6 p.m. and tickets start at $52.

Nebraska’s Will Compton and Michigan’s Taylor Lewan are bringing a live “Bussin’ with the Boys” show to Lincoln on the eve of the Husker-Wolverines football game. The show will include banter, football stories, special guests and plenty of smack talk. General admission tickets are still available for the third floor benches for $40.

Spend the weekend surrounded by apples and traditions at the annual AppleJack Festival at the Arbor Day Farm. The opening weekend is bustling with activities such as picking apples, visiting local vendors in the market and climbing the treetop adventure.

Fifty artists will be selling their work at the 13th annual Art in the Garden at the Sunken Gardens. The free community event will feature live music, dancing, food vendors and art. The event will follow the garden’s “Enchanted Ocean” theme this year. Free parking will be available.

LUX Center for Arts and Emerge LNK are bringing the third biennial street art festival. This year’s theme focuses on celebrating the Creative District and its deep roots in Lincoln. The free, family-friendly event will feature three new murals in University Place Neighborhood, art activities, food trucks, live music and a makers market.

It’s a girls world in aviation at Duncan Aviation Hangar B. The Women in Aviation International Cornhusker Chapter is hosting a day filled with hands-on activities and inspiration for girls ages 8 to 18. Meet professionals, take photos in a fun booth, and explore real airplanes. Tickets are free, but must be reserved in advance.
