From Struggling Business To Viral Sensation Liang and He, both in their late twenties to early thirties, run a herbal medicine shop in Dongguan, Guangdong. Despite coming from families steeped in traditional herbal medicine, their business initially struggled. Everything changed when they began sharing light-hearted videos on Douyin (China’s TikTok). Liang first noticed their striking similarity and suggested matching outfits for their clips, a playful idea that soon went viral and gave their business newfound popularity. The Couple’s Transformation In an interview, Liang said, “When we first met, I didn’t think we looked alike at all. But after living together for years, working, eating, and relaxing side by side, I realised we’ve started to resemble each other.” Her shy husband even went so far as to cross-dress in some videos to emphasise their likeness. Fans now fondly call them the “twin husband and wife”, and despite clarifications, some still insist they must be siblings.
