Even among the X-Men's roster of colorful characters, Emma Frost's costume is instantly recognizable. Starting out as a villain, Emma Frost forged her path in a world intent on victimizing her, resolving to control others whether via her powerful telepathic abilities and her ill-gotten fortune. Eventually, the White Queen saw the light, becoming one of the most dedicated champions of mutant rights. A singular force for good in the Marvel Universe, Emma Frost is one of a kind - as rare as the diamonds into which she can transform her body. However, that's not to say she hasn't had imitators, with several characters ripping off her iconic fashion and even identity... 5 Storm, aka Ororo Munroe In Uncanny X-Men #152 by Chris Claremont, Bob McLeod, Josef Rubinstein, Don Warfield and Janice Chiang Storm has an iconic costume all of her own, so why steal Emma Frost's? In the classic story 'The Hellfire Gambit,' it's actually Emma who steals Ororo's body, dressing in her classic costume to signal her victory over one of the most powerful mutants on the planet. While in Storm's body, Emma harnessed her Omega-level control over the weather, but was ultimately defeated by Storm's use of her own telepathic gifts. After switching back, Ororo incinerates Emma's costume with lightning and goes to kill the villain in a rage over being used to harm her friends. Thankfully, Wolverine steps in, preventing Storm from doing something she'd regret and making Emma's later redemption possible. 4 Jean Grey, aka Marvel Girl In Tyler Kirkham's Cover for Giant Size X-Men: Jean Grey & Emma Frost #1 There are few X-Men who hate each other more than Jean Grey and Emma Frost. Jean hates Emma due to her years of villainy, compounded by the time she seduced Cyclops, leading to a 'telepathic affair' between the two. However, Emma has her own grudge, seeing Jean as an overpowered bully who is perceived as a saint by everyone who hasn't been on the wrong side of her psychic might. Despite all that, Tyler Kirkham's variant cover for Giant Size X-Men: Jean Grey and Emma Frost sees the two swap costumes, switching identities in an act of in-world 'cosplay.' It's a first for Jean, but not for Emma, who appeared in Jean's Phoenix costume as part of her seduction of her husband. 3 White Queens Monet St. Croix & Adrienne Frost Created by Scott Lobdell and Chris Bachalo | Jay Faerber and Terry Dodson As a member of the villainous Hellfire Club, Emma took on the role of the White Queen, becoming one of the most feared women in the world. After she eventually escaped the Club's influence, Emma's seat was taken by multiple people, including X-Men hero Monet and Emma's villainous sister Adrienne Frost. As the new 'White Queen,' each wore a version of Emma Frost's white corset and furs, but no pretender ever equaled her level of influence, with Emma reclaiming the 'White Queen' title on numerous occasions since. 2 Diamond Patch, aka Frost Created by Gerry Duggan and Mike Deodato Jr. When reality was folded in half by the Infinity Stones (in 2018's Infinity Wars), each Marvel character was combined with another, creating bizarre amalgamations like Arachknight (Spider-Man and Moon Knight) and Soldier Supreme (Captain America and Doctor Strange.) In a wild combo both constituent parts would have done anything to prevent, Wolverine and Emma Frost were combined into 'Diamond Patch.' A business mogul who runs Frost International, Diamond Patch is a physical combo of Emma and Logan, with Wolverine's physique and Emma's blonde hair and penchant for an all-white ensemble. The antihero also boasts claws made of diamond, which he can use to telepathically manipulate anyone he stabs. 1 Perfection, aka Cassandra Nova/Emma Frost Created by Joss Whedon and John Cassaday In Astonishing X-Men #12, Emma found herself confronted with a team of villains calling themselves the new Hellfire Club. The team was made up of the villainous Cassandra Nova, her former abuser Sebastian Shaw, her deceased student Negasonic Teenage Warhead and a mysterious robed figure known only as 'Perfection.' Perfection eventually revealed their true identity as... Emma Frost. Or rather, the part of Emma's mind that believes she's irredeemably evil. Thanks to a psychic attack by Cassandra Nova, the darkest parts of Emma's mind had manifested as key people from her past, using her own powers to influence both Emma and the team. Thankfully, after learning the truth, Emma was able to overcome Cassandra Nova's influence and save the X-Men.
