Nashville, Tennessee – October 28, 2025 – The Stars Foundation proudly announces the launch of a groundbreaking international media campaign in collaboration with the African First Ladies Peace Mission (AFLPM), represented by the Secretary General of AFLPM, Her Excellency Jewel Howard Taylor, former Vice President and First Lady of the Republic of Liberia. This historic campaign spans multiple nations across Africa and the Caribbean, raising global awareness for World Orphans Day®, observed annually on the second Monday of November. The initiative calls attention to the needs of orphaned, displaced and vulnerable children worldwide, urging individuals, churches, and organizations to unite in compassion and advocacy. For the first time in its history, The Stars Foundation and the African First Ladies Peace Mission are unveiling billboard placements in both New York City’s iconic Times Square Tennessee and select states, symbolizing an alliance of hope and purpose between Africa and the United States. In support of this media effort, Her Excellency Jewel Howard Taylor graciously hosted a film shoot at her home in Liberia, producing a moving Public Service Announcement (PSA) for international broadcast. The PSA will debut October 27, airing on numerous Christian and secular television networks throughout the USA, Africa and the Caribbean. Additionally, Her Excellency Monica Chakwera, former First Lady of Malawi and HonoraryChairwoman of the 2023 World Orphans Day Summit held in Nashville, Tennessee, is also being honored on the international billboards.
