Believe now that you will become that future self.Desire deeply now that future self. Accept now that you are already taking the first step towards becoming that future self.The first step is to clearly write down what you have just envisioned as a future. Break this vision down into a set of life goals across a few important categories. So, for example, you could have “improved health” as a category, or work, even relationships. Under each of these, you must put down some goals. When you write this down in such a granular manner, you start to form a detailed picture of how you would like different areas of your life to be. Once you have written these down, it is important for you to read this repeatedly for a few days. When you repeatedly read it, you are further installing it in your mind. What happens next is fascinating even at a scientific level. There is a part of your brain called the default mode network or DMN which creates rumination and self-referential thinking when you are idle. The repetition of this exercise is telling the DMN that this is something that means a great deal to you. What happens next is nothing short of incredible. Your brain will call upon all kinds of powers to make your dreams come true.At many levels unknown to you, it starts to initiate actions that start taking you in the direction of the dream. When you are sleeping, even your subconscious is looking for ways to make these things come true. Remember how you started to notice more Honda cars once you decided to buy one?What follows then is that at a daily level you will, both consciously and unconsciously, end up doing a number of things in service of this manifestation. You further strengthen the process by consciously building out a daily routine that includes micro rituals to take you in the direction of your goals. For example, if good health is a part of your vision you will then create a daily routine that involves enough exercise, sleep and a good diet. If maintaining good relationships is one of your goals, you will make time for those relationships and do the things that are important to nurture them. You will automatically, at a subconscious level, end up doing tiny things that will all add up eventually into a great force!Slowly but surely, everything starts to move in the direction of your vision. You manifest the future you desire. We are very good in our preparation to live but we have difficulty living in the present. We take fifteen to twenty years to get ourselves a good education and then we forget to live.We spend years trying to make money so that we can have a good life, and then we forget to live. The only way to live is by being in the present moment.Because that is the ONLY moment in which we can be alive.Now, here’s the next step to turbocharge your genie. You must tell others about your dream. The more people you tell about it, the more powerful it gets. It’s a snowball effect. It starts to gather more and more momentum. At a human level, we all love helping other people.
