Scent is a big seller for Christmas gifting, and so many fragrance sets will be passed between family and friends. But not all perfume is equal, and one special scent is going to be the most-wanted on lots of wishlists. It launched in 2018 when the brand launched, and it has stayed sold out pretty much ever since. It has been trending throughout 2025, and the brand has decided to relaunch it due to customer demand, as some have even resorted to buying it on eBay. You are going to want a bottle of this one, guaranteed. Christmas Scent The perfume is Musk 12 from Kayali, the Middle Eastern brand founded by Mona and Huda Kattan of Huda Beauty fame. Kayali is the fragrance arm of the company, and it has had a spectacular 2025 so far. In May, we reported on the Cosmetify Index, a list that looks at brands, engagement, searches, and sales, and covers the globe. Not only did Huda Beauty do exceptionally well, but Kayali was seeing huge growth and surging in popularity. With the news that Musk 12 is relaunching, it will only add to the brand's momentum. The story of Musk 12 is unusual. When the brand launched, it offered four scents: one base scent called Elixir 11, and three accent-style fragrances. To wear them, you would layer Citrus 08, Musk 12, or Vanilla 28 with Elixir 11 to create a new perfume, depending on your mood. Elixir 11 is a unisex floral and fruity scent, and layering one of the three adds a new element. Each of the four is an eau de parfum that can be worn solo, and when people started wearing Musk 12 (by itself or with other scents), they couldn't get enough of its warm and cosy aroma. The scent has notes of freesia, jasmine, musk, vanilla, and sandalwood. It is powdery skin and clean sheets in a fragrance. The Relaunch Pretty much the same thing happened with Vanilla 28, but that hasn't always been sold out, and it's still an important scent at Kayali. Mona has recently launched a new website for Kayali, and Musk 12's return is part of that. The brand's 27 scents are available in stores like Brown Thomas and Boots, and online at LookFantastic, but it hasn't arrived at those retailers just yet. Kayali's scent site has the exclusive for now, and it ships to the US and UK for the moment. More countries will be added, but if you are hoping to stock up on Musk 12, we recommend keeping an eye on those Irish stockists.
