Warning - This article contains major spoilers for episode seven of Celebrity Traitors.* Celebrity Traitors fans were ecstatic as the first Traitor was banished on Wednesday (October 29). Earlier this month, Claudia Winkleman returned to the Scottish Highlands, as 19 celebrities hoped to lie, betray and backstab their way to winning £100,000 for a charity of their choice. Alan Carr , Cat Burns and Jonathan Ross were chosen to be the Traitors, with ten innocent Faithfuls being eliminated from the game so far. At the start of tonight's episode, Lucy Beaumont was revealed to be the latest star to be murdered after she was greeted by the Traitors in a shock face-to-face killing. Meanwhile, fellow at risk players Nick Mohammed and Kate Garraway were greeted by Claudia, meaning that they safely made it to breakfast. After completing a challenging height-based task, the group headed to the roundtable for the next banishment, with the first Traitor departing the castle. Jonathan received the most votes, before revealing his deceitful status to the rest of the players. "I've got no idea what everyone's doing wrong. I cannot believe you've done it again. I cannot believe that I'm standing here for no good reason," Jonathan said before his exit. "I am now and I have been all through the game completely Faithful... to the Traitors!" But what led to Jonathan's downfall? Traitors fans will recall that Ruth Codd began questioning Jonathan's motives after he voted for Niko Omilana at a previous roundtable, despite saying that he'd formed an "alliance" with him. The group also noted that Jonathan was the biggest fan of the show, so would likely make a good Traitor. A "big dog" theory was also thrown around, with Joe Marler suggesting that Jonathan and Stephen Fry could be leading either the Faithfuls or the Traitors. That's not all, as last week, Jonathan was also "at risk" of being murdered alongside Kate, Nick and Lucy. After making it to breakfast tonight, the TV legend refused to share details of the chess board and being greeted by Claudia, which made him look suspicious in the eyes of his fellow players. "Jonathan not sharing the details of being on the chess board with Claudia was defo his downfall, as well as the Ruth situation," one viewer wrote on X (formerly Twitter ). Another added: "Jonathan mentioning the other Traitors potentially as Traitors in front of them was his downfall," while a third said: "Jonathan definitely looked more suspicious than ever. It was right he went." Celebrity Traitors is available to stream on BBC iPlayer
