You would think a guy who tried to stay in office illegally once before might lose the benefit of the doubt as to whether he’d try again, but tribal Republicans like pollster Patrick Ruffini and radio host Erick Erickson insist there’s nothing to see here. “It’s a bit. Relax,” Ruffini said of Trump’s third-term chatter. (Which sounds familiar.) The president will leave on schedule, Erickson agreed: “I think this obsession with believing he won’t leave office is bad for people already struggling with mental health concerns. You are going to be okay. The country will be okay. The constitution will be okay.”
