The Galaxy XR might be your next holiday splurge as Samsung gives away close to $1,000 in freebies

Samsung's Galaxy XR headset made its official debut at the end of October, and while it could become an exciting piece of tech, we don't think most people are going to be running out to buy it thanks to its eye-watering $1,800 price tag. Luckily, Samsung's throwing in some freebies right now, totaling close to $1,000, to make the purchase a bit more tempting. A new way to experience content We've seen companies try and keep XR, AR, and VR headsets alive over the past few years, but no one has managed to crack the code when it comes to consumer popularity. Many thought Apple would be the first to do it with the Vision Pro, but the headset was just too expensive, and didn't really get into the hands of many people. We're now seeing one of the largest device manufacturers give its best shot, as the Galaxy XR heads to retail. It's the first of no doubt many products to come running Android XR, and Samsung's doing its best to get people to buy it by bundling as much as it can in order so folks can have the best experience without spending any extra. When you buy the headset right now, Samsung is throwing in a free year of Google AI Pro, YouTube Premium, Adobe Project Pulsar, and Google Store Play Pass. In addition, the brand is also giving away a free one-year subscription to Calms and NBA League Pass, along with a discounted rate to YouTube TV that will cost just $1/month for the first three months. You'll also get two free apps: NFL Pro Era and Asteroids. While there isn't a direct discount on the headset, it's a nice bundle that will help you get started. Although we don't think this headset is going to be for everyone, it will have its uses. And in the right hands, it could become an absolute game changer in how you view your entertainment.
