The Full Moon in Taurus reveals what to let go of now — your star sign’s tarot horoscope

What do you need to release from your life? (Picture: Getty) Our next Full Moon is on Bonfire Night, November 5, and is in the sign of Taurus. This is a lunar phase about control and security, possession and release. Taureans are controlling characters who crave certainty in their realm, and this mode of thinking will colour your perceptions and reflections this week. What is in your sphere of control and influence? Are you focused on it? Or distracted by things outside of it? Use this week to get real clear about what you can, and will, control in your realm and what you’re willing to release, so that you have more energy and headspace for what matters. Let’s use the tarot to help us see what to focus on and what to release. Looking for more insight? Come join my amazing Tarot Club, free for a whole month if you sign up now. Persist and press ahead because you’re about to encounter an amazing breakthrough. The Ace of Swords reveals you need to release getting the whole truth from someone. They are in control of what they tell you and reveal. Now is not the time to push it, but within the month, something will shake loose and show you what is really happening. It might be raising awareness of what others are keen to ignore, saying your piece, making a stand, lodging a complaint, or sticking up for ethical course of action. Be a voice for justice, give it your all, karma is watching! The Eight of Cups reveals you need to release a disappointing outcome that you haven’t (outwardly, externally) admitted to yet. You have been pretending all is well, business as usual, things are groovy. They are not groovy. It’s draining to make excuses and lie. Admit it and let it go. Be all about love. Nurture your existing bonds, be open to new ones unfurling, and treat yourself kindly and patiently. You are a sensitive soul, Gemini, and you need to show that to others, let them know you’re a teddy bear, really! The Eight of Wands reveals you need to release being so engaged and hooked on news and gossip. You are a ‘plugged in’ personality and love to have the latest slant on everything… it’s draining and also negative because the news is rarely uplifting. Step back from the scrolling. Long-term commitments and investments are needed in order to realise the ambitions you have, these things won’t happen by themselves, you’ve got to make a plan, set it up, and act on it daily. Take responsibility. The Seven of Wands reveals you need to release feeling in competition with someone or something. It’s undermining your confidence and sense of accomplishment about the things you are doing. Stop looking over and seeing what they’re doing. Focus on yourself. Head here for everything you need to know about being a Cancer July 24 to August 23 A necessary ending is on the horizon (Picture: Getty/Metro.co.uk) Tarot cards for Leo for the Full Moon in Taurus: The Hermit, The Tower Meaning: The Hermit urges you to focus on a piece of study, research or intellectual puzzling that you need total time, space and quiet for. Remove distractions, set a goal, create a schedule and invest in this thinking and fact-finding mission. What you learn will guide you into 2026 and beyond. The Tower reveals you need to release the dread and angst you’re feeling, keeping secret, and building up about a situation that is likely to lead to an ending or departure. It’s not bad to end things, it’s necessary, it’s part of the life cycle of everything in life! Don’t dread the end. Accelerate towards it so you can stop wondering how it will go. Head here for everything you need to know about being a Leo August 24 to September 23 Time to bury the hatchet (Picture: Getty/Metro.co.uk) Tarot cards for Virgo for the Full Moon in Taurus: Five of Wands, Knight of Swords Meaning: The Five of Wands urges you to focus on a squall or tension in your realm that is making you worry or overthink. Get to the root cause of it. Ask questions, be open minded, puzzle through the real motivations at play here. And then peace-keep, mediate, problem-solve. Once you have the facts, it will be obvious what to do next. The Knight of Swords reveals you need to release butting heads with someone about the above situation. Adding fuel to the fire will make it burn longer, right? And that is not in anyone’s interests because you’re all getting scorched. Bring this to a close, bring the peace pipe. Head here for everything you need to know about being a Virgo September 24 to October 23 Authenticity is key (Picture: Getty/Metro.co.uk) Tarot cards for Libra for the Full Moon in Taurus: The Lovers, Strength Meaning: The Lovers urges you to focus on a confusing issue that you have yet to make your mind up about, because clarity is needed, and you are the one to bring it to the table (because you’re smarter). Heads and hearts are not aligned. Temptations have clouded the real priority. Options are abounding but not revealing true outcomes. Get the truth, think clearly, conclude what you think. Strength reveals you need to release presenting such a ‘put together’ and perfect front to the world. Be yourself. Let the mess out! Don’t try and gloss over issues, be strong for others when you don’t feel so yourself, or pretend everything is great. Be real, be honest, be yourself. And others will be more able to help (because they ‘get’ how you really feel). This may well be linked to movement – a change of role, home, place, territory scope, location. You might be considering how you travel too or looking at new vehicles. Make moves here this week. The Page of Coins reveals you need to release a mindset of “apprentice” or student, and recognise you’re the one who can answer the questions now (vs asking them). Take ownership of the situation, have faith in your knowledge and opinion, and be pro-active about sharing answers. Don’t let others take the lead, because they don’t really know what they are doing. You do. What needs attention? What is uncertain or confusing or unclear? Provide clarity and stability for your inner circle, be that about finances, work, dynamics, relationship status’s or your own wellbeing. Don’t let them guess. And lead with love. This is your nest. The Three of Wands reveals you need to release the chaos, the spontaneous ‘devil may care’ recklessness for a while. It’s time to be visible, reliable, consistent and attentive to the places and people that really matter. No more wanderlust, time to stay home. Head here for everything you need to know about being a Sagittarius December 22 to January 21 Perfect is the enemy of good (Picture: Getty/Metro.co.uk) Tarot cards for Capricorn for the Full Moon in Taurus: King of Cups, Ace of Wands Meaning: The King of Cups urges you to focus on your mental and emotional wellbeing, self awareness, and practices this week. Take conscious and good care of your mind and spirit. Do things you love doing, that put you in flow and at peace, prioritise deep rest, relax and enjoy simple pleasures, eat well, get outside, exercise. Do what you know works. The Ace of Wands reveals you need to release looking for the answers outside of your existing realm. You have all you need right now. All is good, all is well. Enjoy what you have, be grateful, appreciate all the small things. You are already wealthy in so many ways. Gratitude is also actually the fastest route to getting more! Head here for everything you need to know about being a Capricorn January 22 to February 19 It’s okay to stay still sometimes (Picture: Getty/Metro.co.uk) Tarot cards for Aquarius for the Full Moon in Taurus: Six of Swords, Knight of Wands Meaning: The Six of Swords urges you to focus on de-cluttering, streamlining, taking away dead wood and dead weight from your to-do list, schedule, circle, and home. Be free of stuff you don’t need, like, or use often. Run on a smaller budget and energy level. Conserve precious time and value. Less is more. The Knight of Wands reveals you need to release that wanderlust, that perverse need to constantly uproot and shake everything up, often for the sake of it, for the pursuit of a feeling vs an objective. Settle down, get comfortable where you are, stop chasing a dream that doesn’t exist. Be happy with where you are. Head here for everything you need to know about being an Aquarius February 20 to March 20 Death is a card of transformation (Picture: Getty/Metro.co.uk) Tarot cards for Pisces for the Full Moon in Taurus: Death, Knight of Cups Meaning: Death urges you to focus on a make-over, glow up, overhaul, transformation or change process that is going to uplift everything and will last from now through to the end of the month. You are making a big change and it’s going to change everything, put your all into it. The Knight of Cups reveals you need to release a romanticised (and false) perception of someone or something. What they’re showing you now is who or what they really are – believe them, and act accordingly. Compassion can lead you down dead ends – escape this one now. They aren’t going to improve or change.
