"Married Jolyon contends with the reappearance of his former lover, Louisa, a lady's maid-turned-dressmaker, while daughter June falls for a penniless architect. Soames, meanwhile, is enchanted by the beautiful and free-spirited dancer Irene. All must decide whether to be ruled by the head or the heart." Two episodes have already aired on Channel 5 and viewers are eager to know when they can catch the next episode. So, when is The Forsytes on next? The Forsytes debuted on Monday, October 20 at 9pm. The inaugural episode takes place ten years after Jolyon's marriage to high society darling, Frances, and sees the Forsytes gearing up to celebrate daughter June's 18th birthday and her debut into society, reports the Mirror . Meanwhile, the matter of succession at the family business, Forsyte and Co., loomed large as brothers – and bitter rivals – Jolyon Senior and James fought to secure the chairman's position for their respective sons. The second episode broadcast on Monday, October 27, witnessed the rift between Jolyon and James and Soames widen further, with the pair's efforts to remove him gaining momentum. Episode three will broadcast on Monday, November 3 at 9pm and will run for one hour and 10 minutes on Channel 5. Following that, three additional episodes will be shown over the subsequent three weeks. A synopsis for the third episode reads: "Frances is hopeful the revelation about Jolyon's children will eventually strengthen their relationship. Unbeknownst to her, James is delighted to be in possession of sensitive information which has serious implications for Jolyon's reputation. "Jolyon recalls his affair with Louisa, where Louisa never truly believed their relationship had a future, due to their contrasting statuses. Jolyon fails to reassure June that him having two other children takes nothing away from his love for her." Soames solidifies his engagement with a ring, stunning his family by presenting Irene at Epsom races. In doing so, he dashes their hopes of an aristocratic match. June attends a Fabian Society meeting and her connection with Philip deepens. At Forsyte and Co., James' scheme to oust Jolyon backfires. Jolyon's position is safe – for now. "Jolyon offers the children financial support, but June is devastated when she sees them in the street together, as if they were a family. Seeking solace, she again turns to Philip, who offers her comfort and a listening ear." Despite a mixed reception from the Forsytes, Soames and Irene get married in a small private ceremony. As they prepare for their honeymoon, Frances is convinced Jolyon will keep his children, and their mother, at arm's length. " The Forsytes continues on Monday at 9pm on Channel 5.
