Legendary rock band The Cure will be performing at Wythenshawe Park next summer – ten years on from their last Manchester gig. The Cure, made up of current bandmates Robert Smith on vocals, Simon Gallup on bass, Roger O’Donnell on keyboards, Jason Cooper on drums, Perry Bamonte on guitar and keyboards, and Reeves Gabrels on guitar, are set to perform in Manchester next summer for the first time since 2016. Formed in Sussex in the late 70s, The Cure performed their first show in 1978, followed by nearly 1,800 concerts worldwide in the years since, as well as 14 studio albums, more than 40 singles and a collection of concert films. The Cure will headline Live From Wythenshawe Park on Friday 21 August 2026. The news comes just weeks after the announcement that Scottish singer-songwriter Lewis Capaldi is also set to perform at the Manchester park next summer. Recent performances at Live from Wythenshawe Park, which has a whopping capacity of up to 36,000 people, include the likes of Sam Fender, New Order, and Fontaines D.C. Joining The Cure in Manchester will be fellow British rock band Slowdive and Manchester’s own The Slow Readers Club, who are known for their anthemic blend of indie and electro-driven rock. In addition to the Manchester gig, The Cure have announced they will perform in Dublin, Belfast and Edinburgh in summer 2026. And already announced, the rock band are set to perform at the Isle Of Wight Festival on June 18, 2026. Tickets to The Cure at Live From Wythenshawe Park will go on general sale on Friday 10 October at 9am. But ahead of then, fans will have the opportunity to secure tickets in a presale taking place on Wednesday, October 1, at 9am. Fans can sign up for presale access at www.livefromwythenshawepark.co.uk . The Cure tickets are set to go on general sale on Friday 10 October at 9am on Ticketmaster , Live Nation , and the band’s website . There will also be a presale taking place on ticketing site Live Nation at 9am on Wednesday, which fans can sign up for using this link . An artist presale will take place at the same time (9am on Wednesday) and can be registered for by going onto The Cure’s fan page.
