Shah Rukh Khan’s elder son Aryan Khan is set to make his much awaited directorial debut with The Ba***ds of Bollywood on Netflix. The series which releases on September 18, stars an ensemble cast including Bobby Deol, Lakshya, Sahher Bambba, Raghav Juyal, Anya Singh, Manoj Pahwa and others. Bobby, who plays a character with grey shades, cannot praise Aryan for his vision and storytelling, despite being new to the filmmaking business. Aryan using his father’s relationships In an exclusive chat with Zoom, the actor has not used the power of his father’s connections to make the series. “I don’t think Aryan wrote the script thinking he can use it because of his father. He wrote it because he believed in something without knowing that he requires these elements. And he didn’t write it because he knew he could do all this. He wrote it because he was influenced by the world he’s lived in himself. And he’s seen a lot for a young boy like him. He’s seen a lot in his life. And I think he’s a very mature director who knows every kind of emotion in many ways.” Getting 3 Khans together The show brings together the three Khans: Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Aamir Khan in cameos, something that fans have been waiting to see for years. Bobby said it is all because of the love the industry has for SRK, that they came forward for Aryan. “The love Shah Rukh has in the industry, anybody would do anything for him. All these actors have a very emotional relationship with each other. I haven’t witnessed it personally but I can see it with them being a part of the show,” Bobby said. These moments have been used so well. They’re not just there to create the traction for audiences to come in. Each and every cameo is a highlight because it is so funny and that’s so intelligent of the director. He’s not used the power of his father’s relationship with all these actors. He’s used them because he needed them, his storytelling required that,” he added.
