Thalapathy Vijay is all set to star alongside Bobby Deol in the much-awaited Tamil film, Jana Nayagan. He plays the antagonist, whereas Pooja Hegde is the lead actress. The film is rumored to be Vijay’s last before he reportedly transitions his career from acting to full-time politics. The highly anticipated film, formerly known as Thalapathy 69, has been officially titled Jana Nayagan to mark Republic Day 2025. As fans await more updates on the film, editor Pradeep E. Raghav recently praised the film, calling it a ‘100% Vijayism’ venture. Jana Nayagan Editor Teases New Update On Film Speaking with Movie Buff, editor Pradeep revealed how he cannot reveal much about the film, but still gave a sweet statement for the fans who have been waiting for more updates. He said, “If I say anything about Jana Nayagan, they will throw me out of the movie.” Further, the editor added, “But there are many exciting things to say. I am also waiting anxiously. So, there should be a time for that. The movie is coming out well. It will be 100% Vijayism in the movie. The movie has a lot of elements for that.” More About Jana Nayagan According to the recent reports, this Vijay starrer is likely to feature cameos of star directors such as Lokesh Kanagaraj, Atlee, and Nelson Dilip Kumar in a special song. Since the actor is entering politics, the Jana Nayagan team is said to be planning a grand send-off to the star actor. The film’s ensemble cast also includes Mamita Baiju, Prakash Raj, Gautham Vasudev Menon, and others. Anirudh has composed the music, with H. Vinoth serving as director. Although an official release date for Jana Nayagan is yet to be confirmed, rumors suggest it may hit theaters in October this year or during next year’s Pongal festival.
