The Telangana State Public Service Commission (TGPSC) has released the final list of selected candidates for Group 1 posts. The final list has been released a few hours after the High Court on Wednesday ordered interim suspension of the order of a single judge directing the Commission to re-evaluate all the answer scripts of the Group 1 mains examination held last year. As a part of the result announcement, the mains hall ticket numbers of the selected candidates have been put on the website, which has been drawn on the basis of the Main (Written) Examination held from October 21, 2024 to October 27, 2024 and General Ranking List hosted on March 30, 2025. Originally, the recruitment drive was being held to fill 563 vacancies, but one vacancy has now been withheld on the orders of the High Court of Telangana. The candidates selected for 562 posts can now proceed with further steps as per the recruitment process. Group 1 candidates can now check the selection list on the official TGPSC website – websitenew.tgpsc.gov.in. As part of the recruitment process, certificate verification has already been completed. Aspirants should note that in view of non-availability of sports candidates, those vacancies are filled by other community category candidates. “If it comes to the notice of the Commission later that any candidate has furnished false information or the selection is not in order due to any act of omission or commission of any candidate, then his/her provisional selection is liable to be cancelled at any stage and they will forfeit all consequential benefits including that of selection, besides that, the Commission reserves the right to take any action as it deems fit in the circumstances of the case, in terms of the provisions as notified in TGPSC Rules of Procedure published in Telangana Gazette No.60., Dt: 28/12/2015,” an official notice stated. What was high court’s order? The Telangana High Court Division Bench on Wednesday issued key directions in the Group-1 recruitment case. The Telangana State Public Service Commission (TGPSC) had challenged the earlier single bench order that mandated a re-evaluation of the Group-1 Mains answer sheets. The Division Bench, comprising Chief Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh and Justice GM Mohiuddin, took up the appeal and stayed the single bench order. The court directed TGPSC to go ahead with issuing appointment orders to the selected candidates, but clarified that these appointments would remain subject to the final outcome of the writ appeals filed by both TGPSC and other petitioners. The Bench further instructed both parties to submit their arguments by October 10, with the next hearing scheduled for October 15.
