A masked creep attempted to kidnap a 13-year-old Texas girl as she was walking to school — but the quick-thinking teen managed to escape after biting him twice, according to police. The girl told investigators she was on her way to Central Middle School in Galveston before 7 a.m. Monday, when “she heard footsteps approaching from behind,” the Galveston Police Department said in a statement. The man grabbed her from behind, and the two struggled — but the teen was able to break free after she bit her attacker twice and ran directly to the school and told her teachers, who then called the Galveston PD. She was uninjured, and cops issued an alert to local medical facilities for any patients. Her parents arrived at the school and accompanied officers back to their apartment, tracing their daughter’s route. Police obtained security footage from a business on 24th Street that showed the girl walking through the area with a man in a black short-sleeve shirt, blue jeans and what appeared to be a ski mask trailing her, cops said. The department released a video of the suspect on Monday. No arrests had been announced as of Wednesday afternoon.
