The Texas Department of Public Safety has recently intensified its search for one of Texas’s most wanted fugitives. Elijah Turner Reyes, a 24-year-old El Paso native and confirmed member of the Bloods gang, was added to the state’s 10 Most Wanted Fugitives List. Texas Crime Stoppers is now offering a cash reward of up to $7,500 for information leading to his arrest, inviting anonymous tips from the public, according to the Department of Public Safety.
Reyes has been on the run since May 22, when he became wanted for murder by the El Paso Police Department. Additional warrants for his arrest were issued on June 16, after Reyes failed to appear in court. These warrants relate to prior charges, including burglary of a habitation, possession of a controlled substance, and assaulting a pregnant woman. Reyes, who stands at six feet and weighs roughly 150 pounds, sports numerous distinctive tattoos, such as an ‘X’ below his left eye and the word ‘Omerta’ on his left temple, which could aid in his identification.
The Governor’s Public Safety Office funds Texas Crime Stoppers’ initiative offering cash rewards leading to the arrest of criminals on the state’s most wanted list. In 2025 alone, their combined efforts have resulted in the arrest of 51 individuals from the list, which includes sex offenders and criminal illegal immigrants, with $37,000 in rewards paid for actionable tips.
