Tesco is launching a 50 per cent off toy sale ahead of Christmas – and prices start from £5. The pre-Christmas toy sale launched on Tuesday, Tesco – which is the UK’s largest supermarket chain – has announced. Tesco Clubcard offers include Snackles Series 2 Mystery Blind Bag, which was initially costing £10 but has now been reduced to just £5. The Twister Air Game was previously £15 and has now been reduced to £7.50. Little Live Pets – My Puppy’s Home was £27 but is now £13.50. Other offers include Gabby’s Dollhouse Party Room Playset, which was £33 but is now costing £16.50, as well as XSHOT Skins Sonic The Hedgehog 4Pack which is now £20 not £40. Hot Wheels Stunt Track Blast Launch was £60 but is now priced at £30. Pauline Chisholm, Tesco’s head of strategy and partnerships, said toys were for children “of all ages”. “There will be exciting toys for children of all ages with plenty of choice in the most popular categories,” she said. “[Categories] including pre-school items, dolls, collectables, vehicles, plush and games.” Chisholm said Tesco hoped the sale would help with rising costs leading up to Christmas. “We hope this early Christmas sale will help people spread the cost of the festive season and also pick up some great offers,” she said. “Included are some all-time favourite brands and we’re especially excited to be able to offer the Gabby’s Dollhouse Party Room Playset for half price, which we know will be in many kids’ wish lists,” she added. The sale, which includes more than 200 toys, runs until 2 November. It is available in a whopping 260 stores across the UK.
