The Telangana IAS Officers’ Association has condemned the recent statements made by the Federation of Associations of Telangana Higher Education Institutions (FATHI) against A. Sridevasena, the in-charge Secretary of the Higher Education Department. In a resolution passed on Thursday (November 6, 2025), the IAS Officers’ Association termed the remarks made against Ms. Sridevasena as ‘unwarranted and unfounded’, lacking factual basis or verification. It said such comments are detrimental to the spirit of healthy public discourse and expressed concern over what it termed as personal and baseless attacks intended to belittle the officer and undermine not only her dignity but also the ethos and integrity of the civil services. FATHI, in a statement released on Wednesday (Nocvember 5, 2025), demanded the transfer of Ms. Sridevasena alleging that she had been misguiding the Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and other Ministers on academic matters. The IAS Officers’ Association — led by Telangana Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao as president and Special Chief Secretary Jayesh Ranjan as secretary — said that civil servants at all levels serve the State with dedication, impartiality, and integrity, often under challenging circumstances and at significant personal sacrifice. “Questioning their motives without substantiated facts undermines public trust and adversely affects the morale of officers committed to upholding the highest standards of public service,” the resolution stated.
