An Garda Síochána arrested a male juvenile in his teens and a man in his 40s in connection with the unrest in Saggart on the 21 and 22 October. The two men are currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at garda stations in the Dublin region. Two nights of rioting broke out after a man appeared in court on Tuesday charged with the alleged sexual assault of a young girl near the Citywest complex. Advertisement The former Citywest Hotel was purchased by the state for use as an Ipas centre earlier this year. There are around 1,200 Ukrainians in the centre currently, and approximately 460 international protection applicants. Investigators from the Dublin Metropolitan Region West, supported by the Dublin Crime Response Team, have also carried out further searches as part of this investigation. Garda are reviewing CCTV and body worn camera footage to identify persons involved as well as carrying out forensic examinations at a number of locations.
