Tech billionaire Elon Musk responds after being named in new Epstein files

PTC News Desk: Elon Musk’s name has surfaced in the controversial Jeffrey Epstein files, alongside other prominent figures such as Bill Gates and Trump ally Steve Bannon.According to a newly released six-page document by Democratic lawmakers, Epstein’s itinerary listed a possible trip by the Tesla chief to the financier’s private island in the US Virgin Islands on December 6, 2014 — a site where multiple women have alleged abuse. Next to Musk’s name, the note read: “Is this still happening?” But the papers did not confirm whether Musk ever made the visit. Musk has categorically denied any such connection.’This is false,’ he wrote on X. The calendar copies also revealed other high-profile entries: a planned breakfast with Steve Bannon on February 16, 2019, and a tentative meeting with Bill Gates on December 5, 2014. Democrats have since urged the US Justice Department to release all Epstein-related files from its investigation. The Trump administration, however, maintained there was no “client list,” rejecting widespread conspiracy claims that Epstein was blackmailing political and business elites, including Democrats.Musk, meanwhile, has been vocal against the Trump administration. After reports surfaced that Trump had once sent Epstein a birthday note in 2003, Musk claimed in a now-deleted post that Trump’s name appeared in the Epstein files — suggesting this was why the documents remained sealed. He later admitted the remark had “gone too far.”Weeks after resigning as head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) following a clash with Trump, Musk again lashed out at the former president for withholding Epstein-related records. Posting on X, he asked whether electronic logs might exist documenting individuals who had flown on Epstein’s plane to the Virgin Islands.
