TDC Ghana Limited has announced the expansion of its operations beyond the Greater Accra Region, beginning with a major development in the Volta Region. According to Managing Director Courage Nunekpeku, the company has secured 1,860 acres of land near the Ho Airport for the construction of TDC Oxygen City-Ho, a modern, mixed-use enclave designed to feature residential communities, an industrial park, a health tourism facility, and Ghana’s first dedicated golf course. Speaking at the Volta Economic Forum, Courage Nunekpeku revealed that discussions are ongoing with former President John Dramani Mahama to facilitate the commencement of the project. He described the initiative as the largest gated community development in Ghana, poised to drive regional growth and economic transformation. “This project will redefine urban living in the Volta Region and serve as a catalyst for industrial and tourism development,” he stated. Nunekpeku also emphasised TDC’s alignment with the government’s national resetting agenda, which aims to extend infrastructure and development projects across five key regions. “Our national expansion strategy begins in the Volta Region and will continue into the Ashanti, Central, Western, and Eastern Regions. These strategic investments are designed to unlock new economic corridors, promote industrialisation, and generate sustainable employment for Ghanaians,” he added.
